Dr. H. Jason Combs has recently donated two books to the Atchison County Library:  Do They Miss Me At Home?: Civil War Letters Of William McKnight – Edited by Donald C. Maness and H. Jason Combs and Pioneer Life On Glass: The Balcom-Green Collection by H. Jason Combs and Kenneth Harders.  These two titles are available for check out at the library in Rock Port.  They may be borrowed by either branch library for patrons in Fairfax and Tarkio.
Dr. Combs, a native of Fairfax, MO, is a professor of geography at the University of Nebraska – Kearney.  Jason is a 1989 graduate of Fairfax High School.  He is the son of Harry Combs of Fairfax and the late Judy Combs.
