This was the scene as the students head out of the cafeteria to their classrooms on the first day of the 2017-18 school year.

The Rock Port Rotary annual Back to School picnic was, as always, a big crowd pleaser.

You could hear the Rock Port High School cheerleaders as they kicked off the first day of school, getting everyone into the cheer.

The Jr High cheerleaders brought some Blue Jay spirit to meet your teacher night on Wednesday, August 16, 2017.

Seventh graders went through orientation the night before school started so everyone knows where they are going the first day of school.

Mr. Walker introduced the teachers/staff and welcomed everyone back for another successful year at Rock Port R-II.

Rock Port R-II Schools started classes on Wednesday, August 17, 2017.  The number of students enrolled in half day preschool – 17, full day preschool – 18, Kindergarten through 6th grade – 184, 7th through 8th grade – 44, and 9th through 12th grade – 119.
