Jake McEnaney looks for the open man in the Wolves’ 50-0 win over DeKalb.


The East Atchison Wolves Football Team put another win under their helmets with a 50-0 victory over DeKalb Friday, September 8, 2017. This is the fourth straight win for the Wolves.
In the first quarter, Briacin Bywater ran the ball for 10 yards scoring EA’s first touchdown of the night. He also had the two-point conversion. Gage McAdams scored a touchdown on a 56 yard pass from Jake McEnaney and Briacin ran the ball into the endzone again for the two-point conversion. Briacin added a 26 yard running touchdown and two-point conversion to close out the quarter 24-0.
In the second quarter, Gage McAdams took a 70 yard pass from McEnaney into the endzone for a touchdown. (The two-point conversion failed.) He then caught a 12 yard pass from McEnaney for another touchdown. (The two-point conversion failed.) McAdams added another touchdown from a 57 yard pass from McEnaney and scored on the two-point conversion to put EA up 44-0 going into the third.
Jake McEnaney ran the ball in to score on a 10 yard run (kick no good) to add the last points of the game, which was called at 50-0 Wolves.
EA had a total of 357 yards in the win over DeKalb’s 78. They had no turnovers to DeKalb’s two.
McAdams led in tackles with seven and had one assist and one tackle for loss. Shae DeRosier had five tackles and two assists. McEnaney had three tackles and two assists. Other Wolves tackling the opposition were: Garrett Meyer and Trey Bowling with two each and Conner Marshall, Bywater, Ashton Yeary, and Keevan Baker with one each. Marshall also had two assists and one tackle for loss. Also on defense, DeRosier caused one opponent fumble and McEnaney had an interception.
The Wolves will face off with the Rock Port Blue Jays this Friday night, September 15, beginning at 7 p.m. in Rock Port. Be sure to come out and howl the Wolves on to victory!
