On the first offensive play of the game, Quentin Carder takes Jase Hughes’ hand off 25 yards for a touchdown with only 12 seconds having been run off the clock.

Rock Port traveled to Cameron, Missouri, on Saturday to play the North Shelby Raiders at Cameron High School. This was a more central site for the two teams to meet up.
From the opening kick off the Jays controlled the ball, with the exception of the Raiders’ first offensive series, in which they were able to score on the varsity.
Scoring drives for the Blue Jays started with the first play from the line of scrimmage with a 25 yard run by Quentin Carder, point after touchdown by Carder was good.
Jase Hughes then hit Caden Linthicum with 10:08 left on the clock for a 43 yard touchdown reception and Hughes’ PAT was good.
Quentin Carder followed that up with a 28 yard pass from Hughes and two point conversion.
Linthicum started the second quarter with a 27 yard run to punch it in and Gavin Abbott’s PAT was good, making the score 32-6.
Off a short punt, Hughes gave the ball to Linthicum, who took it 50 yards for the score.
North Shelby added their second score on the night with a 16 yard pass, making the score 40-12.
Carder would take the kick off back 55 yards and the PAT, bringing the score to 48-12.
Dewhirst scored on a 14 yard pass from Hughes and Hughes was good on the PAT.
Brock Martin got in on the action with a 35 yard run, Hughes’ PAT was good.
Alex Burke capped off the night with his 10 yard run, Joey Herron scored two to bring the final score 72-24.
