Last week in Ms. Amy’s and Ms. Katie’s class at Atchison County Head Start, the children studied the ins and outs of apples. Children were able to see the stages of development when an apple grows, the parts of an apple, various colors apples come in, made apple print paintings, tasted apples, and graphed which apple they liked best. Apples are a healthy choice, and children extended that choice by dipping their apples in peanut butter. An apple a day does keep the doctor away! Jossalyn works hard to make apple prints while sampling apples. (Submitted Photo)
