The East Atchison Jr. Varsity Volleyball Team hosted Rock Port, Missouri, and Sidney, Iowa, in a competition Monday, September 25, 2017, in Fairfax, Missouri. The Lady Wolves lost both matches.
In the first match, EA competed against Sidney, losing in two with final scores of 18-25 and 19-25. Individual Lady Wolves’ stats follow: Aces – Brynnan Poppa 2, Ella Rolf 1, and Madison Lesher 1; Assists – Autumn Murry 2, Brynnan Poppa 6, and Ella Rolf 1; Kills – Anna Klute 1, Autumn Murry 2, Brynnan Poppa 4, Cheyenne Gray 4, and McKenzie Hines 2; Blocks – Autumn Murry 1, Brynnan Poppa 2, Cheyenne Gray 1, and Ella Rolf 1; and Digs – Anna Klute 1, Autumn Murry 6, Brynnan Poppa 5, Cheyenne Gray 4, Ella Rolf 3, Madison Lesher 3, and McKenzie Hines 7.
In the second match, the Lady Wolves competed against Rock Port, losing in two with final scores of 11-25 and 21-25. After this competition, the EA jr. varsity’s overall record stood at 7-4.
The Rock Port Lady Blue Jays went 1-1 with a loss to Sidney and a win against East Atchison. The Lady Jays lost to Sidney in two games with final scores of 16-25 and 17-25. The girls defeated EA in two games, both with final scores of 25-11. The Lady Jays’ JV record stands at 10-1.
