The Piecemakers Quilt Guild met September 12, at 7 p.m. at Community Hospital-Fairfax with 10 members present.
Bev opened the meeting. For roll call each brought their oldest needles. Some were priced at .24 cents, some had some interesting old advertising and some interesting packaging.
Minutes were read and approved. The treasurer was absent.
New business was our invitation to Maryville from the Crazy Quilters.
Susan won the fat quarters.
We discussed possible themes for our meeting in May when invite the Crazy Quilters here for a meal.
For Show and Tell, Donna R. had an Attic Window quilt with farm scenes. Donna H. had a Sun Bonnet wall hanging. Bev had a Halloween table runner.
We discussed whether we would have entries for the upcoming Quilt Show in Rock Port on October 28, at the school. There will be lots of quilts and a lot of vendors. It is always a good show.
Shirley gave the program – a two-minute block made from 5″ squares from a Charm Pack. We each made a block in pretty close to two minutes.
Becky was hostess.
Piecemakers Guild traveled to Maryville on September18, for a delicious meal and fun time with Crazy Quilters and Sheridan clubs. The ladies, both their group and ours, had some beautiful pieces for Show and Tell. They ranged from quilts to wall hangings to table runners. They all enjoy working on these projects and do a great job.
The next meeting is October 3, at Community Hospital-Fairfax at 7 p.m.
