The East Atchison Jr. High Wolves’ Football Team ended a spectacular undefeated season with a record of 5-0. Not only was the team undefeated, but the Wolves scored a total of 230 points vs. opponents’ 16 total points. The following  statistics are from the Wolves’ last three games.

 

EA vs. Northwest
Nodaway 48-0
The Wolves scored 28 points in the 1st quarter, 14 in the 2nd, and six in the 3rd. Kaylin Merriweather scored two rushing touchdowns from three rushes with a total of 70 yards, one kick-off return touchdown for a total of 56 yards, and one punt return touchdown for a total of 30 yards. Bo Graves scored one touchdown from three rushes for a total of 99 yards. Josh Smith had two rushes for a total of 53 yards and two touchdowns. Bo Graves led the Wolves in tackles with four solo tackles, five assists, and one tackle for loss. Other Wolves’ tackles included: Kaylin Merriweather – three tackles and three assists; Carter Holecek – two tackles and four assists; Aaron Schlueter – three tackles, two assists, and one tackle for loss; Braden Graves – one tackle and four assists; Tony Skeen – two tackles, two assists, and one tackle for loss; Deondre Hughes – one tackle and two assists; Cameron Oswald – one tackle and two assists; Josh Smith – two tackles, one tackle for loss and one interception; Braiden Wennihan – one tackle and one assist; Cory Stevens – one tackle and one assist; and Oliver Smith – two assists.

 

EA vs. Mound City 44-0
The Wolves scored 16 points in the 1st quarter, 22 in the 2nd, and six in the 3rd. Josh Smith went 2/3 in passing for a total of 45 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed twice for a total of four yards. Carter Holecek had one 20-yard catch, scoring a touchdown. Braden Graves had one 25-yard catch. Kaylin Merriweather led the Wolves in touchdowns with three, rushed seven times for a total of 94 yards. Bo Graves had two touchdowns from four rushes and 67 total yards. Charlie Litherbury rushed three times for a total of nine yards and Cameron Oswald rushed twice for a total of nine yards. Merriweather was not only handy at catching the ball this game, but also taking down the opponents. He led the Wolves in tackles with 13, seven solo tackles and six assists. East Atchison scored six points in the 1st quarter, 16 in the 2nd, six in the 3rd, and 14 in the 4th. Mound City scored eight in the 4th. Josh Smith went 2/8 with 40 passing yards and one touchdown. He also had four rushes for 28 total yards and two touchdowns. Kaylin Merriweather caught a 29-yard pass for a touchdown. He also had six rushes for a total of 46 yards and scored two touchdowns. Deondre Hughes had four rushes for a total of 23 yards and scored one touchdown. Braden Graves caught one 11-yard pass. Oliver Smith rushed twice for a total of 11 yards. Braiden Wennihan rushed twice for a total of seven yards. Cameron Oswald rushed once for five yards. Bo Graves led the Wolves in tackles with seven, including two solo tackles, five assists, one tackle for loss, and one fumble recovery. Charlie Litherbury had six tackles including three solo tackles, three assists, and two tackles for loss.
