The Rock Port Lady Jays’ junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams hosted the East Atchison Lady Wolves Oct. 5, 2017. The Lady Jays won both matches.
RP JH (B) won both sets, scores 25-20 and 11-15.
The RP  JV team won their match in two sets with final scores of 25-13 and 25-9. The Rock Port JV team’s record is 12-1. EA’s JV stats include: Aces – Autumn Murry 4, Lily Graves 1, and McKenzie Hines; Assists – Autumn Murry 3 and Brynnan Poppa 4; Kills – Autumn Murry 2, Cheyenne Gray 2, Ella Rolf 1, Shelbey Morris 1, and McKenzie Hines 2; Blocks – Autumn Murry 1 and Cheyenne Gray 1; and Digs – Autumn Murry 5, Brynnan Poppa 6, Cheyenne Gray 3, Ella Rolf 2, Jesse Graves 4, Shelbey Morris 1, Lily Graves 5, and McKenzie Hines 4. The EA JV overall record is 9-5.
The varsity Lady Jays also won their match. They lost the first set to East Atchison 26-28, but won the next two sets with final scores of 26-24 and 25-21. Top stats for the Rock Port players were: Aces – Kelcie Gaines, 3; Kills – Abby Bradley and Abbie Hale, 5 each; Digs – Catyn Chamberlain, 12; Blocks – Drue Kemerling, 3; and Assists – Kelcie Gaines, 12. The varsity team’s season record is 17-9, and 9-1 in the 275 Conference.
The Lady Wolves’ varsity stats include: Aces – Jaycee Graves 1, Jesse Graves 2, Kilea Cooper 2, Leslie Bradley 1; Assists – Grace Martin 1 and Madison Ohrt 26; Kills – Cat Prater 6, Grace Martin 1, Jaycee Graves 10, Kilea Cooper 11, Lily Graves 1, Madison Ohrt 6, and Tawni Martin 3; Blocks – Cat Prater 1 and Jaycee Graves 1; and Digs – Cat Prater 2, Grace Martin 6, Jaycee Graves 8, Jesse Graves 7, Kilea Cooper 12, Leslie Bradley 6, Lily Graves 6, Madison Ohrt 5, Shelbey Morris 5, and Tawni Martin 1. The EA varsity’s overall record is 17-9.
