East Atchison volleyball players sign a volleyball to be auctioned off during Pink Out Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in the Tarkio High School Gym. The money raised from the ball and other auction items will go to local residents fighting cancer.

 

East Atchison Volleyball Teams

East Atchison Volleyball Teams hosted a Pink Out night Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in the Tarkio High School Gym. The jr. varsity and varsity teams competed in two matches and a number of special activities took place, including a bake sale, youth cheerleading performance, cancer victims’ recognition, senior parents’ night, and an auction. A total of $2,117.11 was raised from the events and will go to local residents fighting cancer. Pictured during the games are, from left to right: back row – Lily Graves, Cat Prater, Tawni Martin, Grace Martin, and Madison Ohrt; and front row – Coach Parsons, Leslie Bradley, Jaycee Graves, Kilea Cooper, Coach Wood, Anna Klute, Shelbey Morris, and Cheyenne Gray. Also pictured are some of the youth cheerleaders who performed during the Pink Out festivities.

 

Heath and Jayme Higdon

Heath and Jayme Higdon, who have refereed for local volleyball games for 20 years and now are retiring, were honored for their service at the Pink Out night.  Jayme is also a Tarkio High School graduate.
