The Fairfax Kiwanis Club has much fun when they meet each week at Community Hospital-Fairfax for their regular noon meetings. Sometimes it gets a little costly for some members if they get carried away with their sharing of stories.
During the meeting, members have the opportunity to share in the “Brag and Baloney” time if they pay $1 to do so. Of course, one person’s brag may turn into baloney by another.
The money collected each week goes into a fund designated for the Fairfax Ministerial Alliance. The money accumulated over a period of one year is then presented to local ministers, to be used for food baskets for the Fairfax community at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Fairfax Kiwanis Club recently presented a check to the clergy in the amount of $600 for this past year.
