Eric Lahart is the new Store Director at Hy-Vee in Tarkio. Lahart began his duties at Tarkio October 4.

There’s a new smile in the aisles at Hy-Vee in Tarkio. Eric Lahart began his duties as Store Director October 4, 2017, taking over for Kalvin McIntosh, who retired at the end of September. Lahart is originally from Albia, Iowa, but has been working at the Des Moines, Iowa, Store #6 as Assistant Director for the past six years. This is La­hart’s 8th Hy-Vee store so he’s not a stranger to the goings-on.
Lahart said he’s very excited to be here and so far things are going good. He said Tarkio has a great store and great people. He and his family, including his wife, who is a hospice nurse, and his three children (ages 9, 7, and 5) are looking for a house in Tarkio or the surrounding communities. He loves to spend time with his family and enjoys the outdoors, fishing and camping, and his boys love to play sports. Once they get settled, Eric also plans on joining local organizations and volunteering. They will be a great addition to not only the store, but also to the community.
