One of the most thrilling games ever played in Rock Port was witnessed by a crowd of more than 1,200 fans last Friday night when the Rock Port Blue Jays defeated the Tarkio Indians to the tune of 12 to 0. On four different occasions the visitors threatened the Blue Jay goal only to be denied the score by the superb defense of the home team, like the defense of Stalingrad. Once on the 1 yard line the boys held Tarkio for downs, took the ball and Hunter kicked well out of danger. Each threat was repulsed in a similar manner, and an analysis of the game will show that the fine kicking of Herb Hunter and the heads-up playing of the entire team saved the game, although Tarkio outgained Rock Port in every department except kicking.
