Two Atchison County cross country runners, Zach Garrison and Rebekah Lucas, ran their hearts out at the Class 1 State Cross Country Championship Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City, Missouri. This was an extremely fast finish year with the top boy runner finishing the 5K with a 16 minute, 43 second run.
Not too far behind was East Atchison’s Garrison, who finished 88th out of 165 runners with a time of 19:15.25.
Rebekah Lucas of Rock Port also had a good showing at state with a time of 23:38.74 for 60th place.
