The Merchants of Brownville invite you to join them for an old-time “Christmas in Brownville” Saturday, December 2, with activities beginning at 11 a.m. and going to 8:00pm.  There will be trolley rides and carriage rides. Main Street and the Whiskey Run Creek Nature Trail will be lit up.
Shops, houses, museums and restaurants will open 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. including Loren Entz Fine Art, Bluebird Ice Cream Shoppe, The Next Chapter, Oak & Pine, Riverview Glass (with glass blowing demonstrations), Sweetwater Broom Shop, Palmerton Gallery (John Lokke), Didier Cabin (hot cider), The Lyceum Restaurant – Art & Books, Brownville Market, Mary’s Emporium, Schoolhouse Art Gallery, Flatwater Folk Art Museum, Whiskey Run Creek Winery, Thompson House, the Antiquarium, TJ’s Tavern and more!
“The Nutcracker” will be showing continuously at the Brownville Concert Hall at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. with free popcorn and punch.  The Whiskey Run Creek Winery Fun Run will be starting from the winery at 2 p.m. and benefitting the Auburn Backpack Program.  The entry fee is $20 and everyone gets a prize.  Don’t miss their 30% discount on wines!
The Brownville Historical Society will be offering a free will Soup Supper and Bake Sale from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Town Hall.  Santa will be making an appearance so make your list!  The evening will conclude with an old-time school play “Christmas at the Schoolhouse” to be performed at 7 p.m. at the Schoolhouse Art Gallery by the Brownville Village Theatre.
