The Atchison County Historical Society Board and members are currently having printed a second cemetery book entitled “Revised Edition – Gone But Not Forgotten.” This 11×14 inch hard cover book will have 700+ pages, a listing of all known burials in Atchison County 1840-2017, maps, and histories of each cemetery, photographs, enlarged print and will be fully indexed. Flyers with an order section can be picked up at the Atchison County Library, Citizens Bank & Trust, and Bank Midwest, all in Rock Port, Flower Mill, Farmers State Bank, and US Bank, all in Tarkio, and Farmers State Bank in Fairfax.
Walsworth Publishing in Marceline, Missouri, estimates the completion date for the book to be late January to early February, 2018, but in order to raise funds for printing and mailing costs, pre-sales will be taken. If ordered by December 31, 2017, the book will sell for the pre-publication price of $125 plus $13.60 postage (Priority Mail) if mailing is required. Beginning January 1, 2018, the book will be $140 plus the $13.60 if mailing is required. Twenty-seven years of dedicated research and record keeping has provided the material for this book, which is a great source of information for anyone wanting to trace their ancestors who are buried in Atchison County.
