The Rock Port Center was full during their Veterans Salute Fish Fry on Sunday, November 12. This event is a major fundraiser for the center.
Serving up your choice of carp, catfish or chicken were volunteers, from right to left, Sharon Meyer, Betty Muntz and Carol Herron. The the dessert table was next.
The Rock Port Center hosted a “Salute To Veterans” Fish Fry on November 12.
Our fundraiser was a great success. We served over 112 people which netted $2,000, thanks to the generous donations and contributions made by our community.
Of course being a smaller community has proved to be challenging when we have to have multiple fundraisers in order to support the Center, but the small town of Rock Port has always been a star when it comes to supporting our mission.
We have many volunteers and folks to thank for the hard work and dedication to making this one of our best fundraisers. These are just a handful of the people that made this fundraiser come together: Ronnie Bradley, Sharon Meyer, Betty Munz, Carol Herron, Mary Finnell, Edie Beasing, Lisa Freborg, Paula Mullins, Judy Bradley, Earl Stoner, Joey Bradley, Jim Hughes, Steve Ellison, Amy Moore, Jacque Gayle Gebhards, Evelyn Hord, Ashley King, Betty Stoner, Dave Klappenbach, and Rosita Stoner. I am sure I have forgotten someone . . . please forgive me but we truly appreciate all of those who made it all possible. Again, thank you all. It truly will take a “village” to keep our center going for seniors now and in the future.
