The holidays are approaching. Help spread the holiday cheer by ringing the bell for the Atchison County Salvation Army. The Atchison County Salvation Army raises money every year by ringing the bells and collecting money for the red kettles. The majority of the money stays in our community (82% is kept for use in Atchison County for individuals and families in need).
Tarkio Bell Ringing
Tarkio will put their kettles out on the weekend of December 1 and 2, 2017. The bell will be rung December 2 at the intersection of Hwy. 136  and Hwy. 59 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Janene McEnaney will be in charge of this event. You can contact Darrell Lowery if you would like to ring bells for the rest of the season.
Fairfax Bell Ringing
Fairfax will be ringing bells December 1 and 2. Friday’s bell ringing will take place on Main Street in front of City Hall from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday’s bell ringing will take place from 8 a.m.-12 noon in front of 7th Heaven Convenience Store. Please contact Danny Kemerling or Bob Alldredge to help.
Rock Port Bell Ringing
Rock Port will be ringing bells December 22, 23, and 24. Please contact Jim Clodfelter to assist with bell ringing.
Kettles will be in local businesses as well. Please give to our kettles or send donations to Salvation Army, 218 S. Maple St., Tarkio, MO 64491, c/o of Sally Wehmann.
