A retirement reception was held for Mary McAdams on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Northwest Missouri Industries in Rock Port. Mary said goodbye to NWMI after nearly 31 years of service. Around 70 people attended the event, during which Mary received a plaque from the NWMI Board, as well as a Resolution from the House of Representatives, presented by Allen Andrews.
Mary began working for the company, which was called NOWEMO, December 1, 1986, as a van driver and supervisor. She became the assistant manager in 1991 and then became the manager in 2008. Mary said she’ll miss her co-workers and clients the most, but is looking forward to retirement. She will still be in the area for a while, working part-time at the Flower Mill in Tarkio.
