The Rock Port Community Club’s annual Christmas party and treat has become a casualty of the war. There isn’t going to be a party. The reason for the calling off the annual treat to the children of the community and the elimination of street decorations, is caused by inability to buy either the decorating materials or the candy needed to fill the hundreds of bags always given away a few days before Christmas. The Community Club regrets exceedingly that this action has to be taken, but there is nothing to be done about it. Wholesalers cannot furnish the candy, nor can firms selling greenery for street decorations supply these things.
