Gretchen Tharp, a senior at Rock Port High School, signed a letter of intent and athletic scholarship agreement to play golf at North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Missouri, next year. She plans to complete 2 years of general education requirements before transferring  and completeing a four year degree in nursing.
Gretchen’s parents, Shannon Tharp, left, Brian Tharp, right, and younger brother, Fischer Tharp, back left, were on hand for the signing, along with NCMC Head Women’s Golf Coach Daniel Cordray, back right, and Rock Port High School Girls’ Golf Coach Sue Owen, back center.
Gretchen’s golfing accomplishments included: 4 year District qualifier, 2 year Sectional qualifier, 275 Athletic Scholar Award, and Golf State Qualifier in 2017.
