Director’s Report
• Once the remaining two grant projects are wrapped up this month, the 2017 Business Improvement Grant cycle will be complete.
• #ShopAC night was well attended. Reports from stores indicate that it was a success! In 2018, ShopAC may be an all day event, and rather than passports, there will likely be ShopAC drawings at each participating store.
• Great Northwest Day at the Capitol will be held February 6-7. Bailey is booking rooms and registering attendees so asked that board members let her know soon if they plan to participate.
Old Business
• Annual meeting timeframe was discussed. Corken motioned that the bylaws be amended to remove “in October” from the annual meeting statement to enable ACDC to choose the best time of year to hold this event. Jeff seconded and all approved. Article III, Section 2 will now say: “ Annual Meetings: The Annual Meeting of the members shall be held each year.”
• Community lunches will continue to be held around the county in March.
• #BeautifyAC (youth community beautification grant) was discussed. Details and timeline are in the works. Melvin moved that ACDC provide a $1,000 award to a project in each of the three school district zones. Farmer seconded, and all approved.
• Farmer moved that ACDC amend the 2018 budget to add $3,000 to the Youth Programs line item. Meyer seconded, and all approved.
