Rock Port Music Department presented its “Christmas Extravaganza” on Wednesday evening, December 13, 2017. The program was directed Mrs. Abby Palmer and accompanied by Mrs. Lynn Hunter.
5th Grade Beginning Band selections included: Good King Wenceslas/Tradition of Excellence, Camptown Races/Tradition of Excellence by J.S. Pierpont, Jolly Old St. Nicholas/ Tradition of Excellence and Kwanzaa Celebration by David Bobrowitz.
6th Grade Intermediate Band selections included: Ding Dong Merrily On High by French Carol, Silent Night by Andy Clark and A December Triptych/Arr. by Ryan Nowlin
7th/8th Junior High Band selections included: Do You Hear What I Hear by John Cacavas and Joyous Christmas by Randall D. Strandridge.
High School Concert Band selections included: Holiday Mash-Up by Patrick Roszell, Greensleeves – Directed by Student Teacher, Rebecca Smallfoot and Arr. by Alfred Reed and Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson.
8th grade Chorus sang: The Reindeer Rap by Sally K. Albrecht, Silent Night by Haydn and Amavolovolo-Traditional Zulu Dowry Song by Rudolf de Beer.
High School Chorus sang: You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch Arr. by Jeff Funk, with Dalton Brake, guitar, Brett Gayler, bass, and Mercer Deatz, drums, Remembering Decembers by Pinkzebra and Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! – SSA Arr. by Joyce Bacak

Percussion: Arianna Shimmel, Trenton Wallace, and Jakobie Hays.
