The Piecemakers Quilt Guild met at 5 p.m. December 5, 2017, at Community Hospital-Fairfax in Fairfax, Missouri. Bev opened the meeting and roll call was answered with “Our favorite toy as a child.” The minutes were read by Jean and were approved. The treasurer’s report was given by Karen and approved.
For old business, members discussed some project ideas for the “Quilts of the Prairie” meeting in May. Now we will need to get started on them. Everything will be on hold until after the holidays of course. Then we discussed the finishing touches on our Christmas Quilt. All are anxious to see the end results.
The fat quarters were won by Donna R. Then we had a “Progressive Gift Bag Exchange.” That was lots of fun and some pretty neat gifts, of course the gifts moved around the table a lot. For Show and Tell Rosita brought some notebooks and things her daughter Jo had made. We each got to choose a gift from that too; a big “Thank you” to her, too.
Then we got to sample the cookies everyone brought for cookie exchange and of course we all had some to take home with us too. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and consider joining us next year for more interesting programs and quilting updates.
