Robert “Bob” Brought passed away December 29, 2017, at his home in South Carolina, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born August 22, 1945, to Turk and Dorothy Brought. Bob graduated from Rock Port High School and Northwest Missouri State University, and served in the U.S. Navy.
Bob and Linda Hudnall were united in marriage April 3, 1966.
Bob liked to vacation at their lake house at Lake of the Ozarks and ride dirt bikes with his friends and grandsons. He was a member of the Corvair Club and restored and collected Corvairs.
He was a member and deacon at the First Presbyterian Church in Simpsonville.
Bob is survived by his wife, Linda, of their home; two daughters, Sheri (Larry) McGrew of Albion, Washington, and Amy (Charlie) Tryban, Leawood, Kansas; six grandchildren; his sister, Kathy (Elmer) Davis, Rock Port; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, church family, and many friends. He will be greatly missed.
Per his wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be directed to his church, Intrepid Heroes Fund, or Thornwell Children’s Home in Greenville, South Carolina.
