Larry Laverne Emrich, the son of Harold Lee and Ella Mae (Avery) Emrich, was born March 31, 1949, in Stanberry, Missouri.  He attended Stanberry High School.
In 1966, Larry was united in marriage to Carol McMichael and they became the parents of seven children.  They later divorced.  In 1992, Larry met Jeanie Williams in Grant City, Missouri.  They were currently living in Rock Port, Missouri.
Larry was employed as a residential roofing contractor, painter and worked for area farmers.  His true love was breaking wild horses.  Larry was also employed at Robbins Lighting in Maryville, Missouri, until ill health forced retirement at an early age.  Larry passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 68.  A funeral service for Larry was held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, January 22, 2018, at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.  Interment followed in Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port.  Services were conducted by Rev. Glenn Scott.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by step-father, Lewis Chapman; son, Erin Ray Emrich; and brothers, Lee and Danny Emrich and Jessie Chapman.  Survivors include wife, Jeanie, Rock Port; step-mother, Wilma Emrich, Florida; six children, Larry Dean Emrich, Auburn, Nebraska, Eric Emrich, Green Forest, Arkansas, Annette Tennant and husband, Brian, Barnard, Missouri, Rhonda Barrett and husband, Ryan, Norwalk, Iowa, Tina Davis and husband, Carl, Clarinda, Iowa, and Travis Emrich, Auburn; two step-children, Debbie (Richard Thompson) Vaughn, Coin, Iowa, and Alicia Hogan and husband, Michael, Racine, Wisconsin; siblings, Vicki Brown, Susie Hughes, Jerry Chapman, Michael Chapman, James Chapman, Brenda Poppell, Alan Emrich and Johnny Emrich; sixteen grandchildren, Curtis, Racheal, Jacob, Brianna, Cody, Caleb, Lilly, Aren, Ashley, Brian, Jr., Bryson, Hannah, Jayla, Mason, Latanya and Sierra; one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
