Emily Schulte is the new Deputy Clerk at Rock Port City Hall. She began her duties on January 3.

There is a new smiling face behind the desk at the Rock Port City Hall office on Main Street. Emily Schulte of Rock Port began January 3, 2018, as the Deputy Clerk. Emily is currently working part-time, learning the ins and outs of all the functions of City Hall.
Under the guidance of Clerk Ashtin Paris, Deputy Clerk Shulte is getting familiarized with the goings on of the Rock Port Board of Aldermen, as well as the licensing and permits, utilities including electric, water and sewer, and municipal court. Eventually she will become the City Clerk.
Schulte previously worked at Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska, in the distance education office. She has lived in Rock Port for three years and is wife to Seth Schulte and mother to Knox, age two, and Kamden, age five months. Schulte said that though there’s a lot to learn as the deputy clerk, she is really enjoying it, as well as working with the other three employees in the office.
