


Area law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at 410 North 6th Street in Fairfax last week. As a result of the search warrant, numerous items which were evidentiary in nature, including one motor vehicle, were seized.
On January 24, 2018, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department, in conjunction with the Maryville Department of Public Safety and assisted by the Holt and Nodaway County Sheriff’s Departments, conducted a search warrant at 410 North 6th Street in Fairfax, Missouri. As a result of the search warrant, numerous items which were evidentiary in nature, including one motor vehicle, were seized.
Arrested and subsequently charged with stealing, value greater than $750, and removing/altering VIN of a motor/motor vehicle was 37 year old Joel M. Hale of the residence. Mr. Hale is being held in the Atchison County Jail on a $25,000 cash or surety bond and a federal detainer for violation of conditional release on an original charge of felon in possession of a firearm.
On January 26, 2018, at approximately 10 a.m., the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Motor Vehicle Inspections Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, conducted a search warrant at 410 North 6th Street in Fairfax. Numerous items which were evidentiary in nature, including one motor vehicle and three motorcycles and parts, were seized. Subsequent charges are pending. The case remains under investigation.
