Atchison-Holt Ambulance District (AHAD) is a political subdivision, formed in 1974 by a vote of the citizens. The district is comprised of both Atchison and Holt counties and encompasses close to 1,007 square miles and 67 miles of I-29. Located in the most northwestern corner of the State of Missouri, the district serves a population of approximately 10,000 people and includes the townships of Craig, Fairfax, Maitland, Mound City, Oregon, Rock Port, Tarkio, Watson and Westboro.
The men and women of the Atchison-Holt Ambulance District provide service with respect, integrity, compassion and professionalism, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition to staffing an ambulance in each county, the district has a First Responder network that provides early care to its patients prior to the arrival of the ambulance.
Applications are now being accepted for the upcoming EMT class hosted by the Atchison-Holt Ambulance District. AHAD strongly believes that its best asset is its employees, with a strong desire to train and utilize those persons located within the two counties.
Applications for the class will be accepted until 5 p.m. February 9, 2018. If interested please go to www.ahambulance.org and you will find the application under the Education tab. Tuition assistance may be available and class size is limited.
