If you are an artist who enjoys capturing the beauty of Northwest Missouri, then the residents of Pleasant View need your help. The Pleasant View Resident’s Council recently decided to put new décor throughout the facility and wants to display the artwork of the talented artists living in Northwest Missouri. They are hoping to capture the natural beauty of what it is like living in Atchison County as well as surrounding counties, with artwork capturing wildlife, nature scenes, landmarks and just good old small town living! They will also be intermingling pictures from days past bringing together the past and present beauty of the area.
We are looking for all genres of art: photography, watercolor, oil, mixed media and would love art from all ages. If you are interested in helping make this project possible, please send a picture of the piece of art or a high resolution photo of the picture you wish to submit to Kristine Gibson, kris.gibson@tcc4care.com, or mail or hand deliver it to Pleasant View, 470 Rainbow Drive, Rock Port, MO 64482 by February 26. At that time, the residents will judge the submitted pieces to decide which artwork will don the walls of Pleasant View. After artwork has been finalized, Pleasant View will host an Art Gallery opening for the public to come view the beautiful artwork on display.
