On January 18, 2018, President Sarah opened the January meeting with 18 members present. Following the reciting of the opening prayer, the secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were given and approved.
It was announced that a 50% off sale of select items in the gift shop will be on Friday, March 2, in the conference room at the hospital. Everyone is invited to come and check out the bargains. We so appreciate your attendance and support.
The Sunshine Committee passed appropriate cards to be signed and sent to our members who are in need of encouragement and well wishes.
We are excited to be currently hosting a New Members Drive. We would love to have anyone from the surrounding area join us. We meet monthly and host various fund raising activities in order to support and purchase equipment for our Community Hospital-Fairfax facility. Please join us on Thursday, February 15 at 1:30 in the conference room at the hospital to see if it’s an organization that you would like to join.
The Angel Tree Committee reported that the project was very successful again this year. The tree in the hospital lobby was beautiful and recognized many special people.
We hope you will be able to come and enjoy some delicious chili and/or vegetable soup and dessert on Tuesday, January 30, in the Fairfax School Cafeteria for our annual supper. Advanced tickets may be purchased at the Gift Shop or from any member. The hours are 4:30 – 7 p.m. before the EA Wolves vs. the West Nodaway Rockets game. All proceeds benefit equipment purchases for Community Hospital-Fairfax.
