On February 23, 2018, Community Hospital-Fairfax is pleased to host Nebraska Medicine’s (formerly The Nebraska Medical Center) stroke coordination team for a Stroke Summit. This Summit is an opportunity for first responders, caregivers, healthcare personnel and interested community members to learn how to prevent, react to or recover from a stroke.
In a recent study by the Missouri Department of Health, 81.3% of Northwest Missouri residents answered incorrectly when prompted to list the signs of a stroke. Northwest Missourians are also at a higher risk for stroke compared to other Missourians due higher rates of obesity, inactivity and high blood pressure.
The Stroke Summit will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Community Hospital-Fairfax Conference Room. Lunch will be provided for all attendees. Call (660) 686-2317 to RSVP.
