A benefit day has been planned for Dillon Martin, a Tarkio High School graduate and Allen-Schiffern American Legion Post member (he served in Afghanistan). Dillon has been out of work since the beginning of December due to health issues he’s experienced through 2018 (multiple surgeries). He will be unable to return to work until March if things go as planned.
The benefit day goal is to raise funds to help Dillon and his wife, Leslie, keep up with bills and any expenses experienced through this time. There is also a benefit account set up through Farmers State Bank in Tarkio.
The benefit day will begin Saturday, February 10, with a chili and soup feed, bake sale, and silent auction from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the American Legion Building in Tarkio (3rd and Broad streets). From 6 to 8 p.m., come socialize and enjoy hors d’oeuvres with a free will donation (BYOB). From 8 p.m. to 12 midnight, there will be music, games, and beer pong for a free will donation.
Anyone wanting to help bake an item or donate something for the silent auction or help out with making this day a success for Dillon may contact Bryceton England (Bryceton America) through Facebook. Updates of the event can be found at Dillon Martin Benefit Day on Facebook.  To be added to this page contact Bryceton For questions or more information contact Cheryl Volker, 660-253-0239 (please leave a message).
