The 2018 January Blue Jays of the Week for January are: front row, left to right – Kinsley Nuckolls, Dawson Baker, Caisyn Hall, Bertie Meyerkorth, Ali Ellis, Jadyn Lawrence, Briar Daugherty, Grant Spiegel, and Jayven Hudson;  middle row- Braden Athen, Landrey Kelly, Sophia Storm, Alyssa Brion, Jacey-Mae Makings, Tatum Vogler, Dylan Lair, Stevie Gaines, and Kinley Lair; back row – Anden Cohn, Cali Driskell, Abby Minino, Jaysa Welch, Rylee Jenkins, Hadleigh Jones, and Quentin Jackson.

Every staff member in the elementary nominates a student each month that is displaying the character trait of the month.  The character trait for January is Tolerance – accepting of differences and the uniqueness of others and celebrating the common ground we share. The students recognized as Blue Jays of the Week gather for a pizza lunch provided by Grace Church of Rock Port on the last school day of the month.
