On National Signing Day, Wednesday, February 7, 2018, a signing ceremony was held. Ryan Dewhirst became the first Rock Port football player to sign on a scholarship to play football for the Bearcats.  Just in the 2017 Rock Port football season Ryan racked up 24 receptions for 542 yards and 14 touchdowns and that is just on offense.
