Marilyn L. Brown, 88, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at her Rock Port, Missouri, home.
Marilyn was born on October 28, 1929, in Rock Port, the only child of Orval B. and E. Leona (Rader) Salfrank. She graduated from Rock Port High School in 1947.
Marilyn worked as the ASCS office and also at the Atchison County Courthouse.
Marilyn married Ned Greenley, and they became parents of two daughters. They later divorced, and Ned passed away in 1990. She married Jacob C. “J.C.” Brown in 1971 and he passed away in 1992.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughters, Lorilyn Greenley and Lezlie Leesley; stepdaughter, Nancy Brown Wake; stepson, Ray R. Brown; and friend, Toby Mount.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Rick Leesley; grandson, Ryan (Estefania) Leesley of Rockford, Illinois; granddaughters, Dr. Haley Leesley of Providence, Rhode Island, and Anden Leesley of Portland, Oregon; aunt, Eunice Rader of Rock Port; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Kaidan, Kaitlyn, and Kylie Leesley; stepdaughter, Janet Brown (Jim) Watkins of Tarkio, Missouri; stepson, Dr. James L. Brown of Smithville, Missouri; numerous cousins; and dear friends, neighbors and caregivers who enabled Marilyn to remain in her home.
Services will be held Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, 7:00 p.m., at the First Lutheran Church, Rock Port. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services, at the church. Private family interment will take place in Greenhill Cemetery.
