Pleasant View Nursing Home announced their Resident Valentine’s Day Royalty on the sweetest day of the year, February 14. Pictured are Pleasant View’s Valentine’s Day King and Queen, King Delvin Bryant and Queen Sharon Johnson.
The Valentine’s Day celebration at Pleasant View kicked off with the crowning of Valentines Day royalty, King Delvin Bryant and Queen Sharon Johnson. Residents then were served a lunch of chicken cordon bleu, baked potatoes, honey carrots, broccoli salad, hot rolls and red velvet cake for dessert. Residents enjoy staff members dining with them on this special day.
A Valentine’s Day party was held in the afternoon Residents played Valentine’s Bingo with Hershey Kisses as prizes. Brenda Shaw won the conversation hearts stacking competition, successfully stacking 15 hearts before they tumbled, winning her a stuffed animal. After the games residents and staff members enjoyed decorating and eating their heart shaped sugar cookies. The day ended with the ladies receiving white carnations from someone in our community. Thank you so much for thinking of them, they truly enjoyed receiving this thoughtful gift.
