Clifford V. Hill, 66, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018, at his home.
Clifford was born April 19, 1951, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Clifford Bud and Kathryn Ines (Thompson) Hill. He graduated from Rock Port High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a Journalism Certificate from Missouri Western State University. He was a teacher and part-time principal at Ravanna, Missouri, and taught at Ravenwood and Union Star School Districts in Missouri and for the Doniphan County DCEC in Elwood and Wathena, Kansas. He enjoyed photography and worked on the yearbooks for the Ravanna and Ravenwood schools. He crocheted hats for babies, he loved Jesus and family and he also enjoyed reading. He was a member of the Journey Baptist Church and was a founding member of the Lions Club in Ravenwood.
On May 27, 1973, he married Deborah Mary Duane in Kansas City, Missouri. She survives of the home. Mr. Hill is also survived by his son, Anthony (Cammie) Hill of Savannah, Missouri; daughters, Katrina (Kevin) Doiel of St. Joseph and Rebecca (Chris) Gadberry of Las Vegas, Nevada; mother, Kathryn Hill and sister, Teresa (Jim) Hickok, both of Rock Port; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Zach and Jessie Hill, Matthew, Ethan and Khloe Doiel, and Charles and Jaxson Gadberry; and his beloved dog, Rescue. He was preceded in death by his father.
Services were held Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith and Sidenfaden Chapel. Interment was at the Bennett Lane Cemetery in Savannah. The family requests memorial donations be made towards a headstone for Clifford.
