Tarkio’s FCCLA students will be hosting a junior high and high school competition to help with donations for the C.A.R.E. house, the women’s shelter for Atchison County victims of domestic violence. Anywhere between March 5-15th, you can help by donating the following items (new please): blankets, sweatpants/sweat­shirts, hy­giene products, socks, toi­let paper, and laundry de­tergent. Laundry detergent is the chapter’s biggest goal to gather, but any of the items help. It’s for a good cause. Hygiene products include soaps, shampoo, or lotions.
To donate items please drop them off at the high school or in Dara Wennihan’s classroom by March 15. The 7-12th grade class with the most donations will win an ice cream sundae!
