The Tarkio Community Betterment Banquet will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018, at 6 p.m. at the Tarkio Community Building. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Awards will be presented to the Citizen of the Year, Employee of the Year, Farm Family of the Year, and Youth Volunteer of the Year, as well as to new businesses in Tarkio. In addition to the Chamber awards, local organizations are invited to present awards or recognize individuals and may get on the agenda by contacting Kelly Rohlfsen at 660-736-4919.
Each year, the Tarkio Chamber of Commerce, with the help of nominations from Tarkio residents, recognizes citizens who go above and beyond in making Tarkio a great place to live and work! Nomination cans are set up around town at the following locations: U.S. Bank, Farmers State Bank, the Flower Mill, Hy-Vee, Torrey Pines, the Avalanche, and Colfax Farmers Mutual. New this year, nominations may also be made by going to the Tarkio Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and sending a private message with your selections.
