A one-vehicle accident left a Lee’s Summit, Missouri, man with moderate injuries Tuesday morning, March 6, in Atchison County. The wreck occurred at 8:11 a.m. on I-29, 12 miles north of Rock Port, when a 2016 Toyota Tundra, driven by David W. Trower, 51, was headed northbound. The Tundra traveled across the center line and began skidding. It then skidded off the west side of the interstate and the front driver side struck the bridge rail. The Tundra came to rest in the driving lane of I-29.
Trower, who was wearing a seat belt, received moderate injuries and was transported to Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, Iowa, by an Atchison-Holt ambulance. The 2016 Toyota Tundra received extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Double M Towing of Rock Port. The accident was investigated by Sgt. M.P. Quilty, who was assisted by the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department and the Atchison-Holt Ambulance Service
