• Tarkio senior Darin Lee was named to KMZU Radio’s 1993 High School Basketball Dream Team. Other Tarkio athletes named to KMZU’s Dream Team include Tarkio senior Julie Holtz and Tarkio sophomore Ryan Dowis.
• Volker Brothers Farms of Tarkio has been recognized as a winner in the 1992 Corn Yield Contest, sponsored by the National Corn Growers Association. The Volkers placed 2nd in the state of Missouri in the No-Till Non-irrigated Class using Pioneeer 3162, joining a record 2,470 farmers who successfully completed the contest.
March 21, 1968
• Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wensel have opened their bakery shop on Main Street. To celebrate the opening, they will hold an open house this Saturday, March 23, during the hours of nine until three, serving doughnuts, coffee and Pepsi.
• A new electric water fountain, donated by the Tarkio Fire Department and Meek and Sons Plumbing and Heating, has been installed at the Tarkio Community Building this past week.
• Tarkio High School’s track season for 1968 began February 20. The track squad is again under the direction of Coach Howard Wheatley, who reports that he has 38 boys out this year.

• The Continental filling station was burglarized early yesterday morning, but the culprit must have been somewhat disappointed when he found that the strong box in the safe only contained some fifty odd cents.
