These children are excited about the Fairfax park playground enhancement project. Children of the members of the Fairfax Improvement Foundation and the Fairfax City Council gathered in the Fairfax City Park last week to look over the site for the new playground equipment that is being planned. The excitement was quite evident and one child said, “Don’t wait too long to get it here.”
The equipment itself has been funded by ENEL Green Power North American, Inc., but funds are needed to help defray the costs of tree removal, grading and leveling the ground, a cement base pad, ground cover of rubberized tile, and repositioning of the merry-go-round.
This initial plea by the youth is being made in hopes the funds can be collected soon so progress can continue. They’re asking for donations from the community, grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends near and far, Fairfax alumni and anyone desiring to help make this project a reality for future enjoyment.
Donations can be made to Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri and delivered or sent to Bob Alldredge, project chairman, P.O. Box 45, Fairfax, MO 64446.
