The TEC Club met Tuesday, March 13, at my place in the country with Susan Braams as absentee hostess. Three substitutes came to our rescue. Debbie Johnson, Judy Raya, and Sharon Smith joined us for fun and laughs. Sharon Smith won high score, Merylan Lowrey, second high, and Judy Raya, low.
It was a marvelous spring day and Susan had provided us with a new experience in desserts. The title on the box was “Poppies, Belgian mini-pastries”. The problem was there were 52 pieces for 8 people. Mary Anne Pennel, helping serve the desserts, and yours truly, considered having a couple of samples to help the division, but decided against it. The choices included hazelnut cream puffs, mini eclairs with white chocolate filling, also caramel mint eclairs, and strawberry napoleons. All were considered excellent. These choice tidbits are available at Sam’s. The conversation turned to the games with some members wanting another chance to boost their score, so back to the card tables for a final game and victory. However, no miracle occurred. It’s always the luck of the draw.
