The Brownville Concert Series is thrilled to present, Tammy McCann. Tammy is an internationally recognized Jazz Vocalist whose powerful sultry, and emotionally charged voice paints pictures and tells stories. She will perform her show, “Legendary Ladies of Jazz” in cabaret on Friday and Saturday, April 13 & 14 at 7:30 p.m. and in concert Sunday, April 15 at 2 p.m. We give special thanks to Blake and Julia Hurst, Vicki Beilke, Bill and Kathy Bucy, Jim and Cathy Donahoe, and Jan Chism Wright in Memory of David A. Wright for helping to sponsor these concerts.
TAMMY McCANN began her career as a classical musician.   But jazz stole her heart. The Chicago Tribune has named her “Best Jazz Vocal Performance” for several years!!!  Tammy merges classical vocal technique and gospel esthetic with jazz to create a sound that is completely her own. Chicago Tribune’s Arts Critic, Howard Reich says McCann has, “A voice that soars in all registers, at all tempos, on all occasions… a voice that inspires wonder!”
