Jimmie B. Low was born on the farm near Tarkio, Missouri, on September 29, 1920. He passed away January 31, 2018, in Seminole, Florida, at the age of 97 years old. Jimmie was in the Army Air Corps during World War II, serving from December 5, 1943, to May 11, 1945. He was a B-25 pilot.
Jimmie married Barbara Graf in 1943 and was married over 50 years until Barbara’s death in 1997. They had three children. He farmed for many years, was a member of the United Methodist Church and gave generously to the church and community to help other people. Jimmie met Eileen Gutzman in 2000 and they spent 18 years together.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Olan and Myra Low; wife, Barbara; sister, Katherine Low Hembree; and son, James Bud Low. He is survived by Eileen; his daughters, Annette (Marshall) Kaplan and Rebecca Low; daughter-in-law, Virginia Low; grandchildren, Katie (Preston) Smith, Elizabeth (Paul) Merolla, Doug (Rachael) Low, Allison (Jason) Ruchaber and David (Tabatha) Kaplan; great-grandchildren, Annabella and Bennett Ruchaber and Sophie Kaplan; niece, Laura Hembree; and nephew, Gil (Jane) Hembree.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the United Methodist Church, Tarkio, Missouri.  A private family inurnment will be held at Home Cemetery, Tarkio. The family will receive friends from 12:00 (noon)-1:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service at the church fellowship hall.
