Tammy McCann was performing in Brownville, Neb. in the Brownville Concert Series and made a special trip to Rock Port to visit with the Rock Port High School music students.  Tammy is an internationally recognized jazz vocalist and was performing her show “Legendary Ladies of Jazz”.  Tammy merges classical vocal technique and gospel esthetic with jazz to create a sound that is completely her own.
Ms. McCann visited with students about ad-libbing in music and song. With her accompanist she went through several riffs demonstrating the technique.  She also explained how she transitions between classical and jazz singing.
