If ever there was a game to watch the East Atchison Wolves Varsity Baseball Team take the field, it was Thursday, April 26, 2018, in Tarkio. The Wolves went head-to-head with the DeKalb, Missouri, Tigers starting at 4:30 p.m. and never looked back winning 25-6. The Wolves had 16 hits in the game, including two solo homers by Gus Hurst and Zach Garrison. Max Hopkins was a formiddable batter as well with 4 hits and 5 RBIs and Colin Joesting, Tyler Brown, and Gage McAdams each had four runs. Both EA pitchers Gage McAdams and Gus Hurst kept the Tigers swinging at empty air at the plate. The EA boys definitely found their swings, their strides, and their defense, and will hopefully carry that winning momentum into this week’s final games and next week’s District play.
