Lisa England, Director of Occupational Therapy at Tarkio Rehabilitation, was the guest speaker at the noon meeting of the Tarkio Rotary Club on May 22, 2018. Lisa explained the role of the occupational therapist in the nursing home setting. Occupational therapists can help with cognition and dementia, as well as activities of daily living. For folks in the nursing home for a short stay, training can be given to caregivers that will allow the folks to return to their own homes. (Submitted By Anita Sutter)
