The East Atchison Wolves played their last regular season games this past week and this week. The Wolves will compete in Districts this Friday, May 11, at 1 p.m. against DeKalb at St. Joseph Christian High School in St. Joseph, Missouri.
The varsity Wolves took on St. Joseph Christian Monday, April 30, losing to the Lions 3-15. Individual EA statistics follow:
BATTING – Zach Garrison – 2 strikeouts; Dylan Jeffords – 1 strikeout; Tyler Brown – 1 hit (1 single), 1 run, 1 walk, 1 strikeout; Jake McEnaney – 1 hit (1 triple), 3 RBIs, 2 strikeouts; Gage McAdams – 1 strikeout; Gus Hurst – 1 hit (1 single), 1 run, 2 strikeouts; Keaton Williams – 1 hit (1 single), 1 strikeout; Trey Agnew – 1 run, 1 walk; and Max Hopkins – 2 strikeouts.
PITCHING – Jake McEnaney – 2.1 innings pitched, 7 hits, 2 walks, 2 strikeouts, 7 runs; Gage McAdams – 1.1 innings pitched, 7 hits, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, 8 runs; and Dylan Jeffords – .1 inning pitched

The jr. varsity Wolves came out ahead of the Lions, defeating them 4-3. The Wolves trailed 3-2 in the top of the third innining when Zach Garrison tripled, scoring two runs. Jayce Navin went 2-2 at the plate to lead the Wolves in hits. Individual EA statistics follow:

The EA varsity and jr. varsity teams were to compete against Platte Valley Thursday, May 3, but only the varsity game was completed as storms moved in, cancelling the jr. varsity game. The varsity Wolves fought hard, but ultimately lost to Platte Valley 6-7. Individual EA stats follow:

The Wolves hosted the Northeast Nodaway Blue Jays on Friday, May 4, 2018, in Tarkio. The senior Wolves and their parents were honored before the start of the game. They include Andrew Gibbons with parents Tyson Gibbons and Stephanie Litherbury, Colin Joesting with parents Steve and Julie Joesting, Dylan Jeffords with grandparents Gwen and Charles Morris, and Trey Agnew with parents Archie and Amanda Agnew.
The game was a tough one for the Wolves, with EA falling to the Blue Jays 5-14. Individual EA stats follow:
